According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Manchester United are considering earning a striker on loan — with two of the major candidates being Islam Slimani and Odion Ighalo.
Ighalo is now with the Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua, whereas Slimani is currently on loan with Monaco from Premier League side Leicester City.
The void that’s been made by forwarding Marcus Rashford, who could end up being out for the remainder of the season, is a serious one. While Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial can attempt to pick up some of the slack, United should bring in one or two more natural goalscorers if they are intent on making a push for the top four from the Premier League.
With only one week left to go in the transfer window, it is certainly going to be a race to the end.
